Calcium cellular signalling

The objectives of the research carried out by the Calcium Cellular Signaling group, together with our collaborators, focus on the following strategic lines:

  1. Decipher the involvement of T-type calcium channels in the initiation and progression of glioblastoma in in vivo mouse and Drosophila models. The ultimate goal of this line is to investigate approaches for channel inhibition in vivo.
  2. Delve into the function of the T channels in cancer cells and their relationship with hypoxia and autophagy.
  3. Investigate the involvement of other channels and their regulatory proteins in gliomagenesis.
