Cognition and Behavior Study Group

The main research lines of the group are:

  • Evaluation of the effect of sleep on cognitive evolution of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD).
  • Searching for the biomarkers related to the cognitive evolution of patients in AD continuum using omics approaches.
  • Evaluation of cognitive and behavioral alterations in different neurological or systemic diseases, as well as in post-COVID-19 participants, with cognitive repercussions, both in terms of diagnosis and prognosis as well as treatment.
  • Study of an active-tau immunization in the pathology and progression of AD using the triple transgenic animal model of AD (3xTg-AD).
  • Investigating the effect of gut microbiota on pathological hallmarks of AD using the 3xTg-AD animal model.
  • Studing the effect of APOE genotypes on circulatory immune cells in AD.
