The Gabriel Alsina Foundation and IRBLleida are joining forces to promote research in the neurosciences

The Gabriel Alsina Foundation, which works to combat neurological diseases, and the Lleida Institute for Biomedical Research (IRBLleida) have this week signed a collaboration agreement to promote research in the field of neuroscience. As part of the agreement, the foundation has made a donation of 10,000 euros, which will be used to fund three scholarships for master's students in the biomedical field.

These scholarships will enable three students to embark on research in neuroscience and gain experience in a field that is key to advancing our understanding and treatment of neurological diseases. The initiative will also help to foster new scientific careers and train future researchers in this field.

To mark the signing of the agreement, Gabriel Alsina, accompanied by family members and representatives of the Foundation, visited the IRBLleida's facilities. The visit was attended by the Foundation's president, Romina Alsina; the vice-president, Gabriel Alsina; the secretary, Carme Casanoves; and Natàlia Villar.

Representing IRBLleida at the meeting were the director, Diego Arango; the manager, Eva López; and the coordinators of the Neurosciences department, Ana Garcerá and Olga Tarabal, who were able to share with the Foundation's representatives the main lines of work and the projects currently being carried out in this field of research.
