Mamapop donates €88,085 to IRBLleida, the largest donation in its history

The occasion was also used to unveil the theme of the twelfth edition: MAMAPOP DISCO REMEMBER

Mamapop has achieved a record-breaking donation through its 2025 concert series, raising the highest amount in its history: €88,085 to support breast cancer research at the Biomedical Research Institute of Lleida (IRBLleida).

The more than €88,000 raised in the latest edition brings Mamapop's total contribution to IRBLleida to €407,970, consolidating its position as the institution's leading organization and primary source of funding for breast cancer research. Including contributions made to the Pere Virgili Health Research Institute in Tarragona, Mamapop's total support for the cause now amounts to €492,695.

This achievement has been made possible thanks to ticket sales and the various initiatives and contributions from partner companies Atlas Energia, Dental Codina, Fundación La Caixa, Isofred, Serralleitor and Cafès Batalla, which contributed €2,000 from sales of its specialty product Café Mujer. Mamapop also receives the support and collaboration of the Provincial Council of Lleida and the Lleida City Council.

Mamapop founder and artistic director Manel Simon Barbero presented the €88,085 donation cheque to Eva López Truco, manager of IRBLleida, during an event held in the Plenary Hall of La Paeria. The occasion was also used to unveil the theme of the twelfth edition: MAMAPOP DISCO REMEMBER: A Disco-Themed Mamapop!

MAMAPOP DISCO REMEMBER will feature a unique selection of the greatest disco hits of all time, aiming once again to surprise and delight audiences. The show will bring to life iconic songs by Boney M, Kool & The Gang, Earth, Wind & Fire, Chic, Madonna, The Jacksons, Wham, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael, A-ha, Kylie Minogue, Lionel Richie & Diana Ross and Jennifer Rush, among many others.

The initiative has also expanded its charitable model to Tarragona and Andorra. Across the territory, Mamapop is supported by a network of ambassadors who help promote the project, including singers Lorena Gómez and Mariona Escoda, radio broadcaster Luis del Olmo, illustrator Roser Capdevila and honorary ambassador Helena Rakosnik.
