For the third year running, IRBLleida is organising the workshop ‘Little heroes and heroines, great scientists’ in the hospital classroom at the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital in Lleida

Science outreach activities have been organised for children admitted to the hospital

The Lleida Institute of Biomedical Research (IRBLleida) has organised a workshop for the third year running to teach children admitted to the hospital school at the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital in Lleida (HUAV) about science and research. 'Little heroes and heroines, great scientists' is the name of the workshop, which took place as part of World Hospitalised Children's Day, commemorated annually on 13 May.

During the workshop, the children had the opportunity to look through a microscope and carry out experiments to find out which foods contain proteins.

Funding for this activity has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) - Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
