Four international researchers are spending time at IRBLleida to promote knowledge transfer and scientific excellence
Thanks to funding from the project "PRIPIN: New talent recruitment office at IRBLleida: programme to increase international staff at IRBLleida", funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities
In 2026, the Lleida Institute for Biomedical Research (IRBLleida) will welcome four postdoctoral researchers who have already completed their doctoral research. This visit forms part of an IRBLleida initiative to attract research staff from international biomedical research centres, or similar institutions, to strengthen internationalisation, promote knowledge transfer and scientific excellence, and establish networks with these institutions for the development of long-term collaborative projects.
Specifically, the following researchers have visited IRBLleida:
- Raul Bescos Garcia from the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom.
- Asdrubal Jesús Burgos Gutiérrez from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico.
- Jennifer Margaret Bethell from the KITE Research Institute, Canada.
- Sandra Milena Hernández-Zambrano from the University Foundation for Health Sciences, Colombia (the visit will take place in April).
The initiative, with a budget of €15,325.79, has enabled four postdoctoral researchers to join IRBLleida for a maximum period of one month, with travel, accommodation and living expenses paid for and arranged by IRBLleida.
This initiative forms part of the PRIPIN project: New Talent Recruitment Office at IRBLleida: Programme to Increase International Staff at IRBLleida (GPE2024-001566-T), funded by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities. This initiative forms part of the PRPGPE2024-001566-T project, funded by MICIU/AEI/10.13039/501100011033; PRPGPE2024-001566-T is the reference number appearing in the grant award decision; MICIU is the acronym for the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities; AEI is the acronym for the State Research Agency; and 10.13039/501100011033 is the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) of the State Research Agency.
