Charity panettone with IRBLleida from El Rusc bakery in Alamús

To promote biomedical research

The El Rusc bakery in Alamús has created a half-kilo charity panettone, with €5 from each sale going to the Lleida Biomedical Research Institute (IRBLleida). The cake has a final price of €20 and has been made in tribute to a friend who suffered from pancreatic cancer. 'We want to pay tribute in this way to a colleague and friend who died this year of pancreatic cancer,' say the owners of El Rusc.

In addition, the panettone made by the El Rusc bakery in Alamús was proclaimed the best of Christmas last weekend, taking first place in the third edition of the Panettone Panepanna blind tasting, held in A Coruña with participants from various parts of Spain and Italy.

The panettone can be purchased at the bakery and also in Lleida, at the Des-Tapa't café.
