IRBLleida presents its Patients' Commission at the sixth #SomRecerca conference
This is an initiative promoted by the Catalan Agency for Health Quality and Assessment (AQuAS) and the Department of Health to find out about the role of the patient in biomedical research in Lleida
The Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Lleida (IRBLleida) is organising the sixth #SomRecerca conference, a meeting to reflect on the role of patients in IRBLleida research. This year the conference will be used to present the IRBLleida Patients' Commission. This committee was created with the aim of promoting more inclusive research and innovation, where society can be given a voice and be heard so that it can play a more relevant role in all phases of research and innovation.
The Caixaforum Lleida will host the sixth edition of this initiative on Wednesday 18 June at 6.30 pm, where attendees will learn about the members of the committee and their relationship with IRBLleida's research areas. Each of the members will introduce themselves and explain their motivation. Research staff will also explain what they expect from this new committee and the role that patients and organisations have to play in research.
The conference "Let's go one step further? Putting the patient at the centre of IRBLleida research" was promoted in 2019 by the Catalan Agency for Health Quality and Assessment (AQuAS) and the Department of Health.
This activity is possible thanks to the collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) of the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
