Science outreach activities have been carried out for children admitted to the hospital
For the second year, the Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Lleida (IRBLleida) has organised a workshop to inform children admitted to the hospital classroom of the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital of Lleida (HUAV) about science and research. Little heroes and heroines, great scientists' is the name of the workshop that has taken place in the framework of the World Day of Hospitalised Children, which is commemorated annually on 13 May.
In the workshop, the children had the opportunity to learn how to work in a laboratory, play a memory game and do different analytical tests.
The funding of this activity is possible thanks to the collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) - Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
