UdL Bioinformatics Unit
- Program: The aim of this course is to help research staff in the life sciences acquire basic knowledge of this programming language, including loading sequence data, setting up a database using the Pandas library, and using Python to process text files in different formats, among others.

Session1: Basics. Installing Anaconda and working in the cloud with Google collab. Jupyter notebooks. Basic syntax in python. Installing packages. Writing simple programs: handling DNA sequences.

Session 2: Basic Data analysis with Pandas. Organizing data in a DataFrame. Exploratory data analysis. Basic statistics and plotting.

Session 3: Biopython. Working with common formats. Genomes and annotations.
