Lleida, March 2nd, 2017 The Biomedical Research Institute (IRBLleida) will receive € 704,788.10 from the Strategic Plan for Research and Innovation in Health (PERIS) 2016-2020, a pioneer plan to stimulate biomedical research in Catalonia. This budget will allow the incorporation of three researchers for three years, encourage research in nursing staff through partial substitutions dedication assistance of researchers in the field of nursing and commissioning two major research programs. The Department of Health financed Catalonia fifteen major research programs, of which the two IRBLleida. 'Imagenoma aging' is a joint project with the Institute of Biomedical Research of Girona (IdIBGi), funded with more than € 400,000 over three years, which will IRBLleida the analysis metabolomics and genomics study that will involve 2,000 people over 50 years of Girona.
