A total of 22 female researchers from the Lleida Institute of Biomedical Research (IRBLleida) feature in the ranking published by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) of the most prominent women conducting research in Spain, according to the latest update for 2026. The University of Lleida has a total of 72 female researchers in the ranking. The list, compiled from profiles in the Google Academic database, retains Luisa F. Cabeza Fabra, in 25th place nationally, with 74,146 citations; followed by Olga Martín Belloso, Professor of Food Technology at the Higher Technical School of Agri-Food, Forestry and Veterinary Engineering (ETSEAFiV), in 33rd place with 43,090 citations.
