One hundred students of 1st year of high school attended the 3rd INspiracy day to promote scientific vocations in the Lleida area

One hundred students from the 1st year of high school in Lleida attended this week the 3rd INspiracy day, organized by the Institute of Biomedical Research of Lleida (IRBLleida), in collaboration with the Institute of Education Sciences of the University of Lleida (UdL) and the BCNspiracy team. The students of the TorreVicens and Màrius Torres Institute of Lleida and the Institute of Almenar attended live the eight informative talks given by research staff from IRBLleida, the IRTA center, the University of Valencia and other companies related to the field of research. In addition, the session could be followed live on the YouTube channel @BCNspiracy, where it will be available.

The objective of the conference, funded by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) - Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, is to promote scientific vocations to give visibility to men and women who do research and can be references for younger people.

The event took place on Wednesday, March 13 at the Auditorium of the Center for Cultures and Cross-Border Cooperation (Cappont Campus of the University of Lleida). The vice-rector of Knowledge Transfer of the UdL, Olga Martín Belloso, and the manager of IRBLleida, Eva López Truco, opened the event, which is coordinated by the BCNspiracy team, which organizes this event in Barcelona since 2018 to promote interest in science among high school students.
