IRBLleida launches the first introductory training course on Innovation

This activity is included in the IRBLleida Innovation Plan 2023-2025, with the aim of accelerating innovation and cultural change in knowledge transfer within the institute's staff

With the title "How to protect the results of my research: should I know anything about patents and utility models?", IRBLleida launched on 10 November, the first training in Innovation by introducing the different types of intellectual property and delving into patents.

About twenty people attended this first training activity offered by the Innovation Unit. This activity is included in the IRBLleida Innovation Plan 2023-2025, with the aim of accelerating innovation and cultural change of knowledge transfer within the institute's staff.

The training was given by Sergio Escorza Treviño from the company Ungria Patentes y Marcas. D. in Biology from the University of California, San Diego (USA), he is the director of the Patent Department at Ungria Patentes y Marcas, responsible for industrial property and strategic R&D&I alliances in biotech companies, where he has worked at the interface between R&D&I, project development and coordination, and protection and transfer of results.
