II Interdisciplinary Congress of Students of Neurology and Neuroscience

It is an international congress, where speakers from all over the world participate

The students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lleida are preparing the Second Interdisciplinary Congress of Students of Neurology and Neuroscience (II CIEN2), a biannual congress that will be held on the 8th and 9th of March. It is an initiative organized by students and aimed at students, both undergraduate and doctoral students.

The objective of this congress is, therefore, to present different topics about Neurology and Neuroscience in the hands of professionals with an important scientific recognition. On the other hand, it seeks to promote research in these fields in undergraduate and graduate students. It also serves as a platform to present some projects of the students.

It is an international congress, where speakers from all over the world participate, such as Manuel Guzmán, President of the International Cannabinoid Medicine Association; Jesús Ávila, Scientific Director of the Network Biomedical Research Center on Neurodegenerative Diseases of Madrid; Mª Antònia Poca, neurosurgeon at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital; Javier De Felipe, Research Professor at the Cajal Institute, or Dr. Juan Fueyo, professor and researcher in neurology and oncology at the MD Anderson Oncology Center of the University of Texas, who will be in charge of the closing presentation.

The congress will be held in the Auditorium of the "Center for Cultures and Trans-border Cooperation", on the Cappont campus, at the University of Lleida, and it is expected to overcome the assistance of the previous edition, with the aim of reaching 300 students.
