The European Commission distinguishes El Bus de la Salut as a pioneering project for active and healthy aging

- The project has received the maximum qualification awarded by the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Aging. - This accreditation allows the internationalization and visibility of the Catalan health system.

Lleida, June 30, 2017 El Bus de la Salut has been awarded the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Aging, the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Aging (EIPonAHA), which is an initiative of the European Commission - as a pioneering project in Active and healthy aging and innovation. Specifically, the project has received the rating of four stars, the maximum granted by EIPonAHA and this is the score that Catalonia has achieved as a leading and reference health ecosystem before European institutions and organizations in the field of innovation in the Active and healthy aging. The Lleida Provincial Council, the Renal Foundation Jaume Arnó, together with the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Unit for Diagnosis and Treatment of Atherotrombotic Diseases (UDETMA) of IRBLleida, launched the project in January 2015 The Health Bus, to turn Lleida into a pioneer province in the prevention of cardiovascular and renal diseases, to modify the unhealthy habits of the population and to raise awareness of the social importance of donating organs. So far, about 6,000 people have undergone early diagnosis tests.
