Alentorn’s 2nd Charity Walk raises €900 to support Alzheimer’s research at IRBLleida

The Lleida Biomedical Research Institute (IRBLleida) has received a donation of 900 euros from the 2nd Alentorn Alzheimer's Solidarity Walk, a citizens' initiative launched by Aina Galceran with the aim of supporting research into Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases. The walk, held in Alentorn on Saturday 3 October, brought together dozens of participants committed to the fight against these diseases and raised funds that will be allocated to the research lines that IRBLleida is developing in the field of dementia and neurodegenerative diseases.

Collaboration between organisations, the public and research centres is key to advancing new knowledge and solutions that will improve the quality of life for people affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias, as well as for their families and carers.
