A nanocarrier technology platform developed by the +PecProteomics group wins the UdL's Innovative Business Ideas Competition for achieving the SDGs
With a prize of €3,000
MINUDIK®, a nanocarrier technology platform developed from extracellular vesicles (EVs) obtained from food industry by-products, is the winner of the Innovative Business Ideas Competition for the Achievement of the SDGs, with a prize of €3,000.
This project by IRBLleida researchers and professors at the University of Lleida (UdL), Aida Serra Maqueda and Xavier Gallart-Palau, which has applications in health, cosmetics and nutrition, already won first prize in the latest edition of the Santander X Spain Awards Programme for university entrepreneurial projects at the UdL.
In fact, the technology transfer of this idea is already a reality with the creation, last June, of two spin-offs: Ardea Biotech (pharmaceutical applications) and Irundĭt SL (cosmetics and nutrition).
The jury, made up of representatives from the UdL, Banco Santander and the Chamber of Commerce, valued the degree of innovation involved and the fact that it provides real solutions in the field of health.
