700 people take part in the Researchers Night 2023

In guided tours, talks and workshops

A total of 700 people took part in the activities of Research Night 2023. Talks and guided tours were organised from Monday 18 to Thursday 21. On Friday 22, a large number of workshops were held simultaneously. Workshops on chromatography, discovering DNA with sweets, getting to know the brain in detail by playing, how to locate and get to know the kidneys or dressing up as research staff and handling samples. New this year was a solar telescope, as well as a face-painting workshop and research tattoos and workshops to learn about bacteria in detail. Another surprise was the live music and a science photography session.

In addition, the CREBA centre, in Torrelameu, had for the first time the activity 'Poetic Science', which united science and art in an incomparable setting, the CREBA pig model research centre.

This 2023 edition of Research Night at IRBLleida was made possible thanks to grants from the 'la Caixa' Foundation and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) of the Ministry of Science and Innovation. Lleida City Council also collaborated in the organisation of the event.
