The Scientific and Technical Service of Immunohistochemistry is located in IRBLleida within the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital (1st floor).
The Service allows the processing of:
- Tissues (human, animals) (paraffin embedded)
- Tissues (frozen)
- Citology speciments
- In vitro cell cultures

- Performance of paraffin and frozen blocks (OCT).
- Microtomy.

- Immunohistochemical technique for the detection of proteins in human, mouse, porcine and other tissues.
- Immunohistochemical protocol of double stains.
- Construction of Tissue Micro Arrays (cylinder diameters from 0.6mm to 2mm), manually (Beecher-Instruments) or automated (TMA Grand Master3D HISTECH Ltd.).
- Scanning of preparations (Pannoramic 250 Flash II-3D HISTECH Ltd.).
- Analysis of images of complete sections or Tissue Micro Arrays using Quant Center-3D HISTECH Ltd.).
- In situ hybridization using FISH (Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization) or CISH (Chromogenic In Situ Hybridization).
